BaBi Bradford (BiB4All)

Welcome to Bradford!

The Bradford district is home to over 530,000 people and this population is ethnically diverse. Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (BTHFT) mission is “to provide the highest quality healthcare at all times”. We are one of an elite group of hospitals around the country which delivers care, teaching and research.

BiB4All

BiB4All is the local name for BaBi Bradford. Born in Bradford’s BiB4All is a longitudinal e-cohort embedded into routine maternity practice at BTHFT. The project aims to link routinely collected health, social care, and education data locally to build a picture of child health and development, and use this as a local intelligence tool, to inform and evaluate local policy and practice. Since its launch in March 2019, NHS midwives in Bradford have consented more than 10,000 women and babies to the study.

How does it work?

All community midwives in Bradford are involved. They invite women to become part of the study during routine maternity appointments. The study aims to join together lots of data so that we can look at ways to improve health, care and services through research and planning in Bradford and beyond.
